Established in 1952, Peninsula Hearing was founded by Alan Vines father of now owner and head Audiometrist Fiona Vines. Alan built and ran a successful business before Fiona joined Peninsula Hearing after completing her certificate 4 Diploma of Audiometry at R.M.I.T (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) in 1987 and has been a full member of the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) since.

As a team, Alan and Fiona continued to build and work this successful practice together, desiring to deliver quality independent hearing services to the families on the Mornington Peninsula before Alan’s retirement transitioning the business to Fiona after 15 years of working together.

With an ever-expanding business and client base Fiona found the need to upgrade her clinic and did so in 1998 which saw the move to the current location at 18 Davey Street, Frankston.

Moving ahead to 2018, Taylah, the third generation of Peninsula Hearing has continued the family tradition after completing her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Audiology at La Trobe University in 2015. Daughter of Fiona, Taylah Vines-Chapple is a member of Audiology Australia (ASA) and joined the business on a part-time basis upon completion of her graduate qualification year post University. Fiona and Taylah now work side by side as Alan and Fiona did before them as highly trained, personable, independent and friendly health professionals serving the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding regions.

In June 2022, Nick Petersen (Audiologist) joined the company.

In addition to seeing our trained clinicians, when you arrive at Peninsula Hearing you will be greeted by our professional practice support team.

Heading the team is Deb, our Practice Manager, who will ensure her friendly support team will assist you in arranging your appointments, organising repairs or dealing with any account queries. Deb has been working with us since 2005 and is a vital part of the Peninsula Hearing family.

Ros and Polly work as part of our front office and administration support team and have been with Peninsula Hearing since 2018 and 2022 respectively. Much like Deb, they are an integral part of our clinic. Our support staff take great pride in delivering our clients the highest quality support in both assessment and rehabilitation services.

Focused on detecting hearing challenges and restoring our client’s overall quality of life, Peninsula Hearing provides the latest digital hearing care and technology, and being an independent provider means we are not locked in to anyone hearing aid manufacturer.

Your hearing is important to us and we will always recommend the best hearing technology for your loss and lifestyle.

We have built and continue to build strong partnerships with local allied health professionals sharing our mutual desire to assist all our new and existing clients through their hearing journey.
